Designing the Future / 2018/19

The exhibition title “Designing the Future” is based on the central assumption that people have a deep-rooted need to visualize the future or at least a better world, despite countless ‘failed’ designs and sobering experiences. Our current society faces complex social, ecological, political and economic challenges which lead to the question: How do we want to live in the future? Artist Residency Schloss Balmoral is addressing this current debate and has invited artists worldwide to explore the topic of “Designing the Future: How Do We Want to Live, Love and Work?”
