How do the unique properties and characteristics of ceramics determine and enable production processes? What roles do experimentation and improvisation, control and chance, physicality and performativity play? How is the material used and how does it interact with other media? With the announcement of this year’s residency scholarships on the theme of “Ceramic Sculpture”, Artist Residency Schloss Balmoral has invited artists globally to engage with these questions and explore this material’s diverse creative possibilities.
