Why an “untitled” exhibition? The scholarship holders relocate their place of work, away from familiar surroundings, to Bad Ems, Paris, New York, South Korea or temporary spaces while in transit. They have time for reflection, time for concentration and time to develop their own work. “untitled” describes the position in which the artists find themselves in their changed environments at the beginning of their scholarships, focusing on the very processes of the scholarship, the artistic development that takes place within the scholarship period and the artists’ interactions with their new location.
