The Artist Residency Schloss Balmoral invites artists, art educators and curators to apply for a residency grant for the coming year (2027) by 15 June 2026.
The residency grants in Bad Ems are based on an annual theme (2027: LOVE). You can read more about this under ANNUAL THEME here. From there, you can also access our online APPLICATION PORTAL. Good luck!

Incidentally, the grants from the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, which the ARSB merely supports and administers, are not tied to the annual theme. The theme does not apply to grants in Paris, Besançon, South Korea, Wiepersdorf, nor to the location-independent project grants.
